Crown Prosecution Service strengthens digital capabilities and connectivity

CPS partners with Exponential-e to deliver robust internet connectivity across 30 sites in England and Wales

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is working with tech company Exponential-e to develop its digital capabilities and secure its data in flexible, user-centric way. Exponential-e’s digital solution is providing resilient and consistent internet access and has enabled CPS to seamlessly transition to GovWifi.

This has enabled cross-government collaboration, allowing co-location working with partner agencies such as the police and His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS). Secure, consistent and reliable access to digital services is available across all CPS courts in multiple locations, with a common approach across CPS buildings shared with other public service providers.

What’s more, as CPS continues to invest in its digital strategy, its partnership with Exponential-e is expected to improve operational efficiency, delivering a secure and efficient infrastructure that supports the work of its 8,000 staff.

Afshin Attari, Director of Public Sector and Unified Platforms at Exponential-e, says: ‘The CPS is at the heart of our criminal justice system and as such is evolving to the rapidly changing nature of crime to improve the way justice is done.

‘We understand the critical role that robust connectivity plays in modern public sector organisations like the CPS. Our internet connectivity solution will enable their teams to work more effectively, ensuring seamless and secure access to key systems and data. We’re excited to help the CPS strengthen its capabilities to deliver a modern, flexible IT infrastructure and support them as they continue to unlock the value of their digital environment.’
